This caller claimed to be from PayPal, but I quickly realized it was a scam aimed at convincing me to download a Remote Desktop application. This would allow them to control my laptop and steal my personal information.

I got a text message to call this number to update my Credit/Debit card information.

I called him, his name is Ibrahim. I asked him which bank it is as I have couple of bank card(though I have one card). He replied "This is from bank". I asked which bank. He took some time and replied "Commonwealth Bank". I said but I don't have COM bank card. Then I cut the line.
