Got a call from 80392622 regarding an urgent matter. They would not tell me what the matter was until I provided personal details about myself. I refused and asked them how they got my phone number (only two people know it and it is not under my name). They suggested they got my number from the Department of Human Services which is impossible. I feel they are making random calls to government offices with a SCAM in mind. Identity Theft?
I received a text message from Dun & Bradstreet to call back a landline number and to quote a reference number saying it was an urgent matter. They did not mention my name nor what it was about.
I have had subsequent messages, apparently relating to a centrelink debt I knew nothing about (Haven't had dealings with centrelink for 4 years), however it turns out there was a mistaken debt that I sorted out by talking to Centrelink+ATO.
Dun & Bradstreet now KEEP harrassing me for the original debt and leaving threatening messages, refusing to accept that there is no debt and the error has been sorted with the original source.
I received a text message from Dun & Bradstreet to call back a landline number and to quote a reference number saying it was an urgent matter. They did not mention my name nor what it was about. Last year in December I also received a nasty angry call from a man with an Indian accent demanding me to send money for a debt owed and as I had not replied to any registered letters they now intend on taking me to court. I had no such letters and I have no debts and I told him so and he became abusive. Today (4th February 2016) I received a phone call but as I was driving I could not answer it. When I got home I did not recognise the number and checked on this site to read its a SCAM. My landline number rang as I wrote this, but I have an answering machine. I checked and it was from the same SCAMMER a robotic message stating my first and middle name (not last) and to call 1300 133 377 with a reference number and that I was to call it before 8pm tonight.
