This number called me saying they are from the Australian tax office and I needed to open my bank app to pay the money.
Got the same call this morning. But as soon as soon as I heard that it's sounded like a recorded message, I hung up the phone and blocked the number. I remember receiving one before whose number I already blocked. It seems that they're just changing the number. The big question is what is the government doing to shut down these spammers. I'm sure they can trace the people behind these calls and prosecute them. Don't tell me that these people are a lot smarter and has better equipments than the government's crime stoppers.

Received a call from this number, an automated voice telling me that it was from ATO and press 1 to go ahead; also mentioned that non-bailable warrant has been issued and will be processed if I don't press 1. Genuinely a Spam call.

Pretty sure it's a scam. I got a missed call but no message, in fact all I got was a text notification about a missed call. I called back and after some time ringing someone awkwardly answered and claimed they were from the tax office and asked for my name, address, and TFN.
This number called me and told me they were the Australian Tax Office. Sounded dodgy and unprofessional to say the least.
Block if they call you, it’s not the ATO but scammers.
