Called today 3:30 pm male with Indian accent, and call-centre noise in background called me by the wrong name, just hung up.
They said they were a market research company in Melbourne called Ipare, but when I asked how to spell that, they hung up. These people keep calling me from different numbers and the story is the same.
The caller offered to help reduce my electricity and gas bills. They addressed me by my first name, which made me think my personal information has been sold for cold calling since the bills are not in my name.
I answered this call but decided not to return the call afterward as I was unsure of its legitimacy.
Claiming they were from Icare asking about health insurance. Very rude person and when I said I couldn’t think of how much I pay off the top of my head he hung up on me. Classy.
I received a call from this landline number, but I did not answer because I have blocked calls from this area. When I tried to call back, I heard a recorded message stating that this number cannot accept incoming calls at this time.
