IT'S A SCAM!

They sound very convincing and they already know quite a few of your details such as full name, address, phone number.

They won't ask you for 'account numbers' or 'card details' or anything like that, but they still manage to pose as you and steal your money.

They can send you a text that looks as though it is from your bank while you are on the phone with them.

They will have a local accent.

Your bank will always email you in addition to a text or a call.

If you are told of anything strange on your account, hang up, and call the bank on their registered numbers.

Your bank will have music when they put you on hold.

SCAMMERS - BEWARE! Received a call claiming to be my bank customer service and wanted to confirm amounts in my accounts as there had been suspicious activity detected. Were very convincing, had personal details of mine. When I called them out on being scammers they said "We have all your details and are taking your money now, goodbye" and hung up on me. I am reporting to Scamwatch.
