I just got a phone call from a lady with broken English saying she was from Telstra Technical Support and they had been observing our use on facebook, etc and had sent us some "internal warning messages" via the computer. She said her phone call was the last resort to contact us before they cut off our internet access in two hours. She then proceeded to ask if I was in front of a computer. By then I was totally suspicious and asked for a phone number so I could call back and she gave me 02 8006 9827. I asked for a reference number and she couldn't give me one. I called the back and she answered as Telstra Technical Support so I hung up. I then called Telstra who confirmed this is a SCAM!

I recieved a call from this number today claiming to be telstra technical support from the main server in Melbourne. Stupid me fell for it and let them access my pc but when I refused to give them my details they hung up and locked me out of my pc. Had to do system restore so I could gain access. Have done a full scan and found a trojan horse virus that wasn't there before.

Beware of these scammers.
