I received an email that appeared to be a fake PayPal transaction for a Bitcoin purchase. It listed the contact number (02) 8006 7546. This seems to be a phishing attempt.

I called this number back using a protected line, and a person named Michael answered, claiming to be from Westpac. When I informed him that I do not bank with Westpac, he then asked me which bank I was with. Once I started questioning him further, he abruptly hung up.
This report describes an SMS message received by the user. The message reads: "Dear customer, your debit/credit card has been temporarily suspended due to suspicious activity. To resolve this issue, kindly call us immediately at 02800 6756." This appears to be a scam aimed at stealing personal banking information.
