Delightful proper speaking gentleman advises this is the Auztralian Federal Police & "court action is being taken against you" (meaning whoever answered the phone by the ATO.
Then tells me I can avoid or stop this action by calling the ATO on ... (was laughing too hard to hear the number).
My wife, who answered at the same time was slightly panic stricken until I burst out laughing and I assume alot of people may ring back as requested.

Yes my mum also received this call but they where from ATO saying she was to be arrested if she didn't pay 4000 dollars. Reported it to the real ATO lets see what happens.
Claims to be from Federal Police chasing a Taxation dept outstanding debt. Message left to return call to avoid court action. No doubt this is a Scam considering every member of my family have just received our annual tax return refunds.
