The number is dead then goes engaged - any number that goes dead first has to be a scammer.
Said my visa had been used. Don't have a visa card. Scammers.
A caller claiming to represent Telstra, speaking with a strong Indian accent, told me her name was Shirley Wilson. When I inquired about her office address and employee number, she claimed they had been monitoring my phone line for irregular activity involving overseas users. Since I am not a Telstra customer, it was clearly a scam, and the caller hung up when pressed for more details.
Scammer ringing from Commonwealth bank knew my name. Asked if I made a transaction of $800 to a James Smith in USA. I said Listen Scammer, He hung up! When you answer the phone and there is a delay in the other side answering you know its another scammer.
The caller claimed that my internet was raising "red flags" due to unusual usage. However, the call ended abruptly when I started questioning their credibility.
