I was a little worried at first, but was suspicious re the wording of the message, especially - "Thank-You..!!!" which is very un-professional. I checked my bank accounts - no payments had been taken out. Thanks to other reviewers, I knew this to be a scam. Don't call them.
Received a SMS, allegedly from PayPal, to say someone had use my card to make a $999.99 payment, and if that was not me, then I should phone this number. That was a scam, of course. PayPal said they were having a few of this type of scam on their account holders today.
I have received a clearly dodgy scam or phishing text message. The message claims a payment has been taken and if it is not done, to call a number. I have reported to Scam Watch, as well as the mobile number from which I received the text message. The text of the Message is (exactly as received):

E-CARD@INC*Pay.pa|_AU on 2021-06-17th if it's not done by you Dial: (02)6100-2911 Thank. You!!
I received a text from the number.
0499569656 stating that a payment was made by me of $1499.99 to PayPal.
It read that if I hadn’t paid it, I should call 0261002911.
To sort it out.
I called them and they sounded perfect legitimate and I felt bad for doubting them.
Things changed when I didn’t give more details they wanted and got quite angry with me etc.
Be careful!

This happened to me as well today.
The man I spoke to was quite pushy and made me tell him who I bank with.
Now I’m really worried.
I got the same message and called the number - they would give me no information and I gave them no information. Definitely a scam.

I have received above message. This’s a scam.
I got a message from this number that money has been deducted from my PayPal account and to call this number if the transaction is not done by me. However, there was no such transaction in PayPal.
