Indeed a scam - female voice from "ATO", suing for the crime with non bailable warrant! Just ignore. Received two messages on two consecutive working days on the answering machine! This is utter nuisance!
I returned from a week in Albury to find a message on my phone exactly as everyone else has been describing.. From ato and that legal proceedings woukd commence etc etc. Had I'd known that the number belongs to an address in Albury I would have been very happy to drop in on them & give them a piece of my mind.
Received a call from 02 60642066 this afternoon. Also a pathetic attempt at trying to scam money. Says do not ignore this call or you will receive the consequences. You will be responsible for this. This is a scam number pretending to be from the ATO and that legal action is pending against you. They ring constantly telling you its urgent to call them back on the provided number. Have spoke to Telstra who blocked the number but they just ring on a different number. I have had them contact me on three different numbers so now am just putting them on call block.
Got a call on 0260642066 on Friday 10 June 2016. Female, fluent English, Indian accent. Missed the first part of the message because her auto phone caller tried to talk over my answering machine. I get the impression that she is pretending to represent the tax office and is planning on sueing me for something or other, and I must call her immediately or bad things would happen to me in a legal sense.
Obvious spam, given that it is a recording, and given that my answering message includes my mobile number, which she didn't call.
I received the call as same as Anonymous described.

I got a call they left a message it has scared the crap out of me. Thought I was going to be charged with Tax Fraud. They don't leave a name, or call you a name just to respond to the number 0260642066 & don't ignore it. I hope it is a SCAM.
Interesting - WE received a recorded message from a very "broken-english" speaking woman stating she was from the Australian Tax Office, & needs to speak with us regards a pending fraud case.
We rang our accountants, who advised us it is a scam, and ignore it.
