Very similar to the other posts. I have had several missed calls and a long recorded message saying a warrant is out for my arrest. I know it's a scam not least of all because the number they called is my work mobile and not the details registered with the ATO... Just ignore it to anyone who might be concerned. Or call back and abuse them, just for fun.
Denis. Have had calls from this "ATO" number. Definitely a scam, I am a retired tax practitioner and the way they go about things is wrong and incorrect. Just hang up.
I just got a call from this number.
I believe they are using the Do Not Call list to create their phone number list, as it was mentioned at the start.
It was an automated voice saying that tax return was incorrect and a warrant had been issued.
This is plain scare tactics as the ATO would never behave this way.
I've had a message left on my answering machine yesterday and today from this number. Rang the ATO to report it, it's a scam so take no notice of it.

Then I said I will report you he said go aheah.
