Just got a call frm 02 5306 2287.
It's a scam so I hung up and blocked it from my phone.
I had a voice mail saying call back, do not avoid this message! It's extremely serious and you have to ring me now.

Voicemail message left on my mobile on 7/09/2017 after missed call (from 02 5306 2287) claiming to be ATO Office. Message said that it was about a legal complaint under my name for tax avoidance and tax fraud. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM... ATO does not contact Australian residents in this manner.
Got a call from this number, saying ATO will take me to court for tax avoidance!!!!
This a hole called and harrased my partner for like an hour on the phone saying she owed $3984 and payments needed to me made today or the police would be around on Monday to take all her possessions and she would be in court on Monday! Then kept talking to the "supervisor" apparently going on hold but really wasn't and listening in the conversation. Pushed her for making a payment right away and more payments after that, was very rude and abrubt and using scare tactics to put her on edge. The funny thing is she called the ato when the last call came in and no amounts were outstanding. They are very good at fearing people into making immediate payments. Some fast talking indian guy! Beware, more of us need to report this so these people are arrested! Currently calling the ATO and police about this but everyone else needs to do the same or nothing will be done and more people will end up feeling sick and worried like my partner :(.
These people left a message on my mobile advising that it is serious and they are about to put out a warrant for my arrest! I rang them back and told them to F#$% off.
I also kept the recording and rang the ATO and reported them, so hopefully these vile people will be dealt with.

I just received a call from this number on my mobile. I didn't answer it - rejected the call as I didn't recognise the number. I googled the number. Found out it came from Bathurst NSW. I called the number back from a land line. An indian man answered saying Australian Taxation Office. I hung up as I know there would be no reason I would be getting a call from the ATO in BATHURST!!!
Clearly this is a scam number.

Definitely a scam message/call. This is an identity theft attempt. They probably already have some info of you from your online profiles and they just need your TFN to complete the picture. Do not give out any information. Hang up!
Just missed a call from 02 5306 2287. Messaged left was from an Indian sounding man saying the ATO was about to issue a warrant in my name to recover funds owed to ATO. I had to ring them back. Yeah right.

Yep I just got a call from them too. They got angry saying that they will take legal action against me for not paying tax. I rang my tax accountant and they said its definitely a scam.
