I didn't answer the call. If you don't pick up, they send you a voice message. It's a robot generated message, in a British accent. They will claim there is a warrant out for your arrest following a taxation fraud charge. I imagine if you call back and fall for the trick, they will ask for your bank account details and tax file number etc to confirm your identity, which they can use to assume your identity, steal money or what have you. If I could upload audio files, I would attach the voice message. Do not answer to this number.

Ignore this message. Rang the taxation department who advised that if the number is not listed on the website, it's a scam.

Proper English accent claiming to be the AFP ringing to tell me I owe the tax office and pay up or else. Why is it that just to delete my ex from my Telstra account, I have to fill out a form with more substantiated information than if I were applying for a job in ASIO, yet these creeps can get phone accounts with impunity?

Pls ignore this call. Don't waste your time entertaining them.

I have just received a recorded message on my phone purporting to be from the Police Department. Apparently I have defrauded the Taxation Department and a court case is going to be mounted against me. I was advised very strongly not to ignore this message but to immediately call the above number. I would love to call this number just to see what questions they will ask, but perhaps it is best to ignore it. I have been the target of so many scams, it is unbelievable. Not so long ago I was informed that I owed the Tax Department $7000.
