I received a robocall stating that $299 was going to be deducted from my account. This is clearly a scam since I do not even have a PayPal account.
The caller left a voicemail stating that a charge of $299.39 would be deducted from my account unless I pressed 1 to cancel or called the number back. This raised my concerns about its legitimacy.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from PayPal. Since I do not have a PayPal account, I asked for more details, but the caller struggled to provide any information. Frustrated by my inquiries, he eventually hung up when I refused to give him my PIN number.
My phone flagged this number as a scam, and after researching it, I found that others have reported similar experiences with it.
