Also had a call wanting to speak with someone here regarding their taxes. They identified themselves a Leiza D'cruz. We rang back the man that answered didn't identify himself upon answering and when I asked for her, he didn't know her until I asked if that was the tax office - then he said he'd get her. I have had this arrest warrant scam before so I knew what it was.
Received a call from John at ATO this morning, saying that an arrest warrant had been issued for non compliance of tax. When I said I had been a pensioner for a long time, I was told that I had not filled out the new pensioner form and the warrant was for that. I was asked to call ATO at 02 42437530 to pay the fine and sort the matter.
