Beware it is a scam phone call.
Just got a call from this number and let it go to voicemail. Message stated it was from the ATO and that either I or my lawyer needed to return their call before the police showed up at my door or place of employment.
Rang the number back but their voicemail box is full.
Got same call as everyone else.. Had same call before Indian accent robot voices all a scam. Don't be fooled!
Scam call pretending be from the ATO - John Wilson will be your case officer. Ask them for you taxfile number and they'll hang up pretty quickly as they'll know that you are on to their scam.
I missed the call it went to voicemail and yep the robot recording. I rang the number and spoke to someone with an indian accent I then proceeded politely tell him what I thought while he was telling me that I owe $2981 and to pay or my drivers licence will be taken from me, charged with fraud and jailed for 5 years. I would suggest that true caller be a factory app on all phones.
Same as Pam- the call went to voicemail and the dodgy robot voice says they are from the tax office and to call back or get my lawyer to call back or I will have the police at my door... Good luck buddy!
I didn't answer it went to voicemail and a dodgy robotised voice bunging on about police calling at your doorstep /ring back etc. Will not be ringing them hahaha. Scam!
