Didn't answer, left a message in Chinese and a short English telling Dear Optus Telstra customer, this is an emergency message.... Blocked now.
The caller repeatedly asked if I could hear them and claimed there was unusual activity on my credit card. When I told them I don't have a credit card and laughed at the attempt, they quickly apologized and hung up.
Suspected to be a scam call. This number can be returned call but sounds pretty doggy.
Chinese speaking scammers.
The call originated from a Cessnock number and featured an automated voice message stating, "Hello, this is the immigration bureau; your documents have not been received." The message was repeated in Chinese, followed by options to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. Eventually, it hung up after repeating itself.
The caller talked about something concerning the pandemic and mentioned that I hadn’t gotten back to them. When I called back, I was placed in a queue but the call was disconnected once someone answered. It's unlikely any legitimate caller would reach out on Good Friday, which makes me believe it was a scam.
I received a disturbing robocall stating, "Hello, this is the immigration bureau. Your documents have not been received." They repeated this in what sounded like Chinese before abruptly hanging up. A search of the number provided no results, so I doubt it’s a legitimate immigration notice.
