Insights from User Reports

On 31 March 2023, one user shared a concerning encounter with a caller purporting to troubleshoot a compromised NBN service. Why This Number is Classified as a Scam

I was contacted by someone from what sounded like a call centre, lots of voices talking in the background. Then a lady with what sounded like an Indian accent was telling me that my National Broadband Network has been compromised and she needs to help me fix it. I told her that this sounds like one of those calls that we are warned about and I didn’t want to talk to her. She hung straight up without even hesitating. If it was real, she would have said that I misunderstood or something, but she hung straight up.
