Phone number 02 3800 1551 has been used by a scammer. Not sure if he had the technology to seem like he called from a different number to his real one. He was very clever and had voices in the background sounding like a legitimate phone company. I even looked up the number and there were no complaints about it. He told me to type in the following into Google search bar -

My 1p country.

He used this to make it look legitimate: as if the IP address that came up was my address when it was just a standard example from USA. He said that this means someone from USA had hacked into one of my accounts - complete garbage but I fell for it. I did not read to him my real IP address thankfully but was still fooled into thinking he was legitimate. Him reading out the standard example IP address really fooled me because I thought the number was personal and not just an example. He told me to download an app on Google play by the name of anydexk. My brother who worked in IT heard the conversation because it was on loud speaker and confronted the guy who maintained a professional tone of voice and said he was from National Broadband Network. He was very clever but my brother did not fall for it and the scammer backed down and hung up. It was the most convincing performance by a scammer that I had ever seen.
