0480 024 690 - I received a call in morning whilst half asleep when I answered a lady with a strong Indian accent who knew me by my first name so I thought it must be important, I asked what the call was in regards to she said current electricity bill, which didn’t register right away with me as I had recently woke up, I thought she’d said phone bill, I thought oh crap it’s late or there’s an issue, I was trying to get her to get to the point but she was being vague stretching it out sounded like she was leading me into sales pitch that’s when I woke up, it’s a public holiday Kings BDay weekend and those utility offices are closed on these days, it’s Monday also currently living at parents house my name isn’t on any current electricity bills as the owner, it’s a scammer, also having seen a show a white hat hacker did about scammers from overseas calling you if they keep you on phone and recording your voice for over a minute they can use it with AI for identity theft purposes I hung up. Be careful.
03 9123 1735 - The usual indian type of call, just ignore the number.
02 7241 8696 - "The caller claimed to be from a 'fraudulent claims department' and surprisingly knew my name. They asked if I had invested in cryptocurrency. I answered 'no,' and the call ended abruptly without them saying goodbye. This felt very unprofessional and suspicious."
0480 801 017 - "I missed a call from this number but didn’t receive a voicemail. I can’t determine the purpose or legitimacy of the call."
0480 805 747 - I received a call from an unknown caller, and I am unsure about their identity or the reason for the call.
03 4247 2874 - After answering this number, I encountered a dead line on the other end. This is the second time I've received a call from the same number today, which I find quite annoying.
03 9969 9601 - Just had a missed call. Rang back. Man answered and said call was about energy. I apologized but I have solar on…. And he muttered something and hung up. Rude if nothing else.
