How Reverseau Intelligence Reporting Works

Data Source

Every data point comes from an Australian who reported a phone number they actually received a call or message from. Reverseau does not buy data from carriers, brokers, or commercial databases.

Classification

The person submitting the report chooses the classification: scam, spam, nuisance, suspicious, uncertain, or legitimate. These are community assessments, not legal findings.

Aggregation

Reports are grouped by state, locality, service type, and calendar month. This lets you compare patterns across regions and track how activity changes over time.

Refresh Cycle

Data refreshes every six hours. Monthly reports are published at the start of each new month, covering the full prior calendar month.

Limitations

This data only reflects what people choose to report. It does not capture every call made in Australia. Classification accuracy depends on reporter judgement and how many people report the same number.

Reverseau's intelligence reports are generated from community submissions dating back to 2014. Each monthly cycle adds new data points, refining state-level and category-level patterns. Reports on this page reflect aggregated classifications - not individual caller identities or legal determinations.
