What Callers from 393792217470 Say

The automated message from 393792217470 references vague deregistration consequences, stating something similar to "will be deregistered to enquire press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese." The incomplete or cut-off nature of the message suggests either intentionally obfuscated scripting or low-quality recording equipment.

One contributor noted the message was left as a voicemail after the call went unanswered, while another described the recording as leaving only "half a message." Neither contributor could determine what service or organisation the robocall claimed to represent, a common characteristic of international robocall campaigns that deliberately obscure their identity.

Call Patterns and Reporting Issues

Both reports about 393792217470 were submitted within minutes of each other on the same date, suggesting a potential coordinated dialling campaign. One contributor attempted to block the number 393792217470 but reported the block function did not work, a problem sometimes encountered with international numbers depending on the phone carrier and device settings.

Contributors chose not to engage with the recorded message by pressing any keypad option, following appropriate safety practices for unknown robocalls. Both opted to delete the voicemail and avoid returning the call to 393792217470.

What to Do If You Receive a Call from 393792217470

If 393792217470 calls you:

  • Do not: Press any number when prompted, return the call, or provide personal information if you do answer
  • Do: Let the call go to voicemail, hang up immediately if you answer, and delete the message without listening to completion
  • Do: Screenshot or note the number (393792217470) if you wish to report it, though international enforcement is limited
  • Do: Contact your phone provider if the number repeatedly calls despite blocking attempts

International robocalls like those from 393792217470 often use spoofed or temporary numbers, making traditional blocking unreliable. Your carrier may offer additional filtering options for international calls if this becomes a repeated issue.

Got unsolicited call from unknown number didn’t answer it just let it go to voicemail and it’s seems to be a robo call leaving half a message “will be deregistered to enquire press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese”. From a supposed Italian phone number. I tried to block it but it wouldn’t work. So I’m going to just delete it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I press 1 or 2 when the robocall from 393792217470 asks for a language preference?

No. Do not press any keypad option when 393792217470 calls. Pressing a number confirms your line is active and monitored by a real person, adding your number to targeted lists for more frequent calls. Hang up or let it go to voicemail instead.

Why did blocking 393792217470 not work on my phone?

International numbers like 393792217470 sometimes bypass standard blocking because they use VoIP or spoofed routing that changes the displayed caller ID. Contact your phone carrier for advanced call filtering options. Alternatively, set the number 393792217470 to send calls directly to voicemail rather than blocking.

What does the robocall from 393792217470 mean by 'deregistration'?

The vague threat of deregistration in calls from 393792217470 is deliberately unclear. It may reference a false deregistration from a utility, license, or account you don't actually have with the caller. This ambiguity is intentional - the threat is designed to panic multiple types of victims without being specific enough to be easily debunked.

Is 393792217470 a real Italian number or spoofed?

The number 393792217470 uses an Italian country code (+39) and mobile prefix (379), but international robocalls frequently use spoofed or misrepresented numbers. You cannot assume 393792217470 originates from an actual Italian caller or organisation - the true source is deliberately obscured.

Why does the robocall from 393792217470 offer English and Chinese language options?

The robocall from 393792217470 uses multi-language prompts to cast a wide net across different countries and language groups. This suggests the campaign is targeting international audiences, not Australians specifically. The language selection is a mass-dialling tactic to increase answer rates across diverse populations.

Can I report 393792217470 to Australian authorities if it's an international number?

Yes. Report 393792217470 to the ACMA at acma.gov.au and to ReportCyber at cyber.gov.au. While Australian regulators cannot directly prosecute international callers, reports about 393792217470 help authorities identify cross-border robocall networks and contribute to international enforcement efforts. Contributing your report on Reverseau also helps other Australians recognise the number.
