Number given as PayPal customer care for scam inquiries
Assumed I was calling PayPal about a possible fradulent transaction. The numer I called was acrually in the message from the sender and not PayPal.
She asked my PayPal email and the transaction details from the email. They where able to get into PayPal account, and asked me to confirm personal details, name, address bank card. All from my PayPal account.
I thought I was speaking to PayPal, but got nervous about some questions.
I straight away called my bank. They gave me a PayPal number to call in case of fraud.
PayPal where helpful and are following up.
