The Scam Explained
According to user reports, messages from this number typically imply that a product has been ordered on behalf of the recipient, citing an exorbitant price of $3969.99 for a MacBook Pro. These messages often include an order ID and prompt the recipient to call the number if the order is not theirs. However, beneath these seemingly professional communications lies a deceptive attempt to extract sensitive personal information, including credit card details.
Reasons for Classification as Scam
- Irregular Details: The SMS sent from this number contains misspelled words—like "AMAZ0N"—which is a red flag. Legitimate companies maintain high standards in their communications.
- Inconsistent Payment Protocol: Legitimate transactions typically do not notify customers through SMS about an order's confirmation post-billing. If funds were an issue, recognised payment establishments would send official notifications directly through their own secure channels.

Definitely a scam, they claimed I had paid $3969.99 for an Apple Mac Book Pro. If not you, please contact 1800 950 542. No.1, If they had tried to get that amount out of my bank, they would send a message saying there were insufficient funds to complete the order. No.2, please do not call these people as they will be very convincing, but allthey really want is your credit card details. You are best not to respond and report this to the appropriate authorities. Or you could just send them a text and say "good luck with that a##holes".
