My son got a Windows Defender alert asking him to call +61 1800 948 202. He was downloading a Minecraft extension at the time. My son called the 1800 number and then came to speak to me as well. The man claimed it was not a PC problem that can be fixed with anti-virus software. He tried to explain that scammers had got to the private IP address inside my home network, which doesn’t make sense. He was looking for us to pay for support because the PC was out of warranty.
