My computer was blocked and this number was supposed to be microsoft. The Indian went through my computer then asked for my vank account.
Initially, the call seemed legitimate as they instructed me to call them back, but they ultimately tried to gain access to my computer. We immediately powered off the computer, and everything turned out okay. I strongly caution others not to return their call.
SCAM: I received a message claiming my computer was locked due to being "hacked" and I was instructed to call this number. I decided to power off my computer by holding down the power button, and after restarting it, I ran a virus and smart scan which showed that everything was fine.
Reported as a scam, I was advised to turn off my computer to reset it, which I believe is a tactic to gain remote access.
