Just experience this pop up and legitimately thought my laptop got hacked so I actually called it, and they asked for my name, number and email addresss and stupidly O gave it. They made me download something and got access to my computer. They told me I could fix it if I paid $199USD and from then I told them I had no money and the indian man got angry and hung up. Still genuinely scared my laptop got hacked but a big f*k you to these people.

I called this number about 10 minutes ago to hear an Indian man saying "hello, I see you called about your computer being broken" mind you I hadn't said a word and knew it was fake.

So I played around with him a bit, told him I was there to fix his computer, it took good 2 minutes but I believed him.

I ended up just getting control of his computer and put a BIOS master password on it, that's 1 down.

We just had the same thing our laptop froze and we rang the number and this Indian guy got access to our computer and started overriding everything we are unsure if he has managed to get any personal details yet. Do not call this number!!!!! Turn your computer off and then do a full virus scan!

1800 009 384 is a nasty call centre based in India that pretends to be working as or for Microsoft support team. They are fake, fake, fake. Those scums are installing malvares and viruses from popups or with bundles software as Adobe Flash. More often this popup is almost always in Adults section (porn). Your internet browser suddenly freeze and your all computer is frozen. Best way is to shut your computer down (by pressing power button for 20 seconds or to make sure unplug Your computer). Fear and stress will take over with messages saying that your computer has had a virus attack. Restart with a clean browser cache and a run of a antivirus if you have one. Talk to someone if you are not reassured or still in distress. This free phone call number is targeted to.

Australians. Note that nothing has changed in your computer system but check if some extensions had been added to your browser.

He talked a lot about my computer and then asked me to pay for software update and clear my computer from hackers and scams so they cannot access my personal information. I simply stated I have know money and he hung up on me before I could ask another question. Restarted my computer nothing comes up. I hope you guys get caught you cheating lowlife scums!!

This number popped up on my mac, so freakimg out I called them. Immediately was suspicious as they didn't answer the phone saying they were apple. Then they wanted to gain access to my lap top, reluctantly I stupidly agreed. They started telling me I had all these viruses etc n it was gon cost 399 to fix it! I told them I wasn't paying cause I knew it was a scam n then they hung up. I immediately deleted whatever they had put on my computer and turned it off. Don't ring this number stupid scammers!!!

This happened to my sin just this morning. He saved up his part-time money to buy a new computer on Tuesday and when he turned on his computer this morning to get into his STEAM account, he got a message there was a virus on his computer and that he needed to call microsoft on the number above, which he did. They then proceeded to ask him his bank details - which he gave... Then he got suspicious and hung up. He was in a state and asked me to cancel his bank account details - I told him to ring the bank, but whilst doing that, the scammers rang him again. I was unaware that he was speaking to the same people - and so they then started to scan his computer so we advised our son to shut his computer down and unplug everything. He has now gone to work so we won't know any more until he returns this afternoon - he'll need to go to the bank and cancel his card. I just hope they haven't hacked everything.

Same this, virus message, call Microsoft on 1800835286. My partner went ahead and phoned without checking with me or googling number Grh. Downloaded their software to give them remote access. He was on the phone to them for a good 45mins...! An Indian accented man with a western first name and surname was going through the computer advising of dates and viruses etc. Probably stalking my partner while they synced all of our stuff!! They then said it was going to cost $260 to fix. He didn't provide credit card number thankfully. We've deleted the software they had is install. I just hope we are going to be ok.
