Scam. Same message regarding camera purchase, rang them for a laugh. Asked them to ship it immediately seeing as I already paid for it and told them it was a great deal :) They just got nasty and hung up on me.
Same. Said a computer had been bought for $4000 and to call if a dispute. They pretended to be Amazon Customer Service and needed email and reference number in text. No email and they hung up on me. They correlate, email, phone number and suck you in to give more info I guess.. Then add it to the cut and pasted info they are gathering to steal your ID :-D.
Text message saying I had purchased a mobile phone for $4999 but if I had a dispute about it call this number. The first thing they wanted was my email address. When I insisted I didn't have an email address, they said they can't help with my 'dispute'. Don't give the mongrels any information at all!!

This number is being used by scammers who will try and get your Amazon, PayPal or other details out of you over the phone. In my case this number sent a text saying I'd made a payment for an expensive item and asking me to call back if there's a dispute. The phishing begins when you call back. It's a scam, do not give any information.

Scammer. Semi convincing. Told me a $2969 purchase of a Canon camera had occurred on "my" Amazon account, which was linked to a NSW postcode and under the name Will Roger. The only way for him to look into the mistaken purchase further was for him to have more details from me. When I finally decided he was a fraud and told me him so, he turned nasty.
