I received a text which looks to be a "legit" sms advising me that my PayPal account has been signed in from a new device in Nigeria. It also asked to call +61-1800719678 to report if you are not the one accessing. When calling the number, the person "disguises" to be someone working for PayPal. He then asks for your email address, I believe they reset your account and asks for the code from your SMS then accesses your account. Luckily I have removed my cards from my account and most of the cards have already been closed. When he found out that the card is already closed, he hang up the phone.

This morning, I received a text message from a number claiming to be associated with Microsoft. I called the Australian number back, and the individuals on the line tried to extract personal information from me by claiming that someone was attempting to access my PayPal account. They said they could help put a stop to it, but I suspect this is a scam.

I received a dodgy text message claiming my PayPal account had been accessed from Nigeria. The problem is, I do not have a PayPal account at all, which raises red flags about this message being a scam.

I received an SMS claiming to be from "eBay," stating that I had allegedly transferred money to someone and urging me to call back immediately. This seems highly suspicious and potentially a scam.
