Scam - claim they are Telstra checking your internet speed. Request that you enter information into your tool bar to check speed. Very pushy insisting your internet speed is too slow and they are trying to fix it. Give false phone number for you to return their call that is not linked in any way to Telstra.

Received a call today and on requesting a call back number was given 188 627 267. The caller said he was an National Broadband Network operator on behalf of Telstra advising slow internet speed. The operator said he was in Melbourne but had a strong! Sub continent accent, was very polite and starting to get rattled by my questions re ping checks.

Strongly suspect a scam, but as this number shows no other hits just a caution.
