Definitely a scam caller trying to solicit funds for god only knows what.
I received a scam call from someone pretending to be PayPal. They wanted me to call a specific number to confirm my identity. This is clearly a fraudulent attempt.
I called this number back, and the person on the other end became very upset. After about five minutes of discussion, I pointed out their behavior, and they hung up on me.
The caller provided a verification code of 99201 for a supposed transaction of 1,240.00 AUD. They urged me to call +61 1800 565 876 immediately if I didn’t recognize this transaction. This seems suspicious.
