What Our Users Reviewed
Apparently some kind of alarm/alert came up on my laptop with a message to dial this phone number urgently for assistance.... So my brother did. He let them remote control my computer.... God knows what they have done in there! They purport to be tech support for Windows... Told him they could see multiple attempts to hack into my system and that he should purchase firewall protection instead of free anti-virus. Luckily the call got disconnected before it go any further and THEN he thinks to call me and I had him turn off computer and disconnect the wifi. Too scared to turn the computer back on now!
Pretty damn sure this is a scam. They're supposedly Microsoft Support but they try to get $450 off you, or more and the way they explain is a copy and paste into note pad while they have access to your computer. The best piece of advice they gave me was to use a paid version of antivirus. Thanks dodgy buggers. You legends.
Scam from imitation Microsoft!!
