I rung the number that was provided with the text. I gave them all the details as I believed they were legit. I then checked the website link they sent with the text, and the link did not work. I then checked this website for the number that was provided with the text, and got really worried. I then rung Telstra legit number (from the ph book), and they assured me it was a legitimate text. So it looks like it is not a scam.

It seems to be a genuine message from Telstra re their 2G net work closure. I rang the number, and they are sending out a new 3 G SIM card to me.
Just rang Telstra, it's a SCAM PEOPLE, don't give out any details.
They also sent me to txt messages and now they rang me, I couldn't understand not one word she was saying, she wanted details, and I told her I would prefer to go into a telstra shop and hung up on her and she had the nerve to call back!
They couldn't even spell upgrade right.... They spelt it uprade!
