I just got a similar message pretending to be from "BENDIGO"...
The 1800 number must be owned by someone... Feel like it should be possible to shut this one down.

1800 329 185 Microsoft Help Centre. Scam. As soon as I told them I do not have internet banking and never have they hung up! My computer froze after clicking on a facebook link.
Scammers posing as Microsoft techs after laptop froze when a Fb link was clicked on. Was given a 'security code' and asked if I did online banking which raised alarms. When I asked for an email identifying the tech and detailed the procedures was hung up on. Phoned them back and asked why I was asked questions about online banking and was hung up on.
Sounds like the same Michael that called me today.
While using my computer today it was frozen by Microsoft for malicious content. Michael introduced him and said he could help.... It was a total scam, wanting to protect superbugs in my computer... After much info given by him he want details of any financial dealings I have online... Don't fall for it, just in case they could access anything changed all my details several times through the afternoon. Be very careful of this super friendly person.
This number was connected to a scam which and was supposedly Microsoft security. It locked my computer and threatened it could take my financial data etc. It was very elaborate and convincing but it was a scam!
