My computer locked just now with Microsoft flashing across the screen with a voice message from Microsoft telling me to do nothing but phone 1800312357 immediately to have my computer unlocked. Instructions were to hold down certain buttons to open up your screen then in the space bar add a address. I challenged the person for better identification several times & she became very challenging. I hung up & phoned a computer guy to clear the message. All good now. Be warned.

I called this number on my land line in response to a notification to a (suspected scam) alert on my iPad telling me to ring it for more information. It also asked for bank details!!

The call was answered by a person who identified himself as Dave from "Windows Support".

When I informed him that I did not have windows on my iPad he seemed surprised and confused by the reason I called him.
