Had a voice message to to call by Wed close of business day in relation to my sisters TFN and providing information in ralation to our accounts. I do have an account with my sister so called the number. This sounded legit with typical ATO waiting periods. Felt it was a scam and decided to investigate. This number is a scam, not a ATO number. They are getting clever do not provide personal details or your TFN. Really if they are the ATO why are they asking you for your TFN?
Received a call from this mob telling me that I owe money to the ATO They asked for my personal information to discuss and I said no. They said we have to call back by Monday 23rd close of business. I called my accountant and it is in fact a scam.
