I had this problem a few days ago. All you need to do is reboot your computer run a virus scan and you will be fine. They just freeze your browser to make it look like a virus. Scammers!!
Definitely a scam.. They have shutdown our computer multiple times and want our credit card details so they can fix the problem.. Funny though as we didn't have any problems until they hacked our computer.
Lowlife bastards.
Anyone else been using Gumtree when this has happened to them??
A scam for sure. Said hacker is going to steal my bank account, Facebook account, and I MUST call them otherwise my computer gotta be blocked by Microsoft. Can't turned off the website so turned off the laptop. Get restarted and is perfectly working well.
Definately a Scam. I called and asked lots of questions. They were sloppy with their response and I contradicted them on a number of occasions. They gave me their website... Which didn't exist.
When I asked for his Superviser - I was hung up on.
I got one message on my laptop and I cannot do anything to my computer. It said I must call a number 1800152454 and a man said he from Microsoft. And she wanted my credit card details, but I did not give my details yet, my laptop has been run again. And I cancel him a call. And I find this number information on the internet. So I want to know if I did not give details of my account yet, so can he access to my information because I call him by phone. Can he access my information on phone?
I got the same message on my computer last night and could not get rid of it even after turning my computer on and off a couple of times. So I turned my computer off and rang phone number 1800152454 and a woman with asian accent(probably filapinia)said she was from Microsoft. I suspected a scam but to be honest it had me concerned especially when she said she wanted my credit card details to fix problem. I called her a scammer and she hung up on me. I rebooted my computer and message was gone. I wonder how do they get pass my antivirus and windows firewall. So watch out everybody for this low life scumbags they will rip you off bigtime.
I got the same like below! Must be a scam! Did it pop up again after your virus scan? Thank you!
