I managed to get a refund from Telstra, but they did their very best at sticking their heads in the sand when it came to explaining what they were.

I too received around 8 or 9 charges to my Telstra home phone account which only existed to service my iinet ADSL2+ at a residential address in Melbourne. I also saw charges to a couple of other numbers very similar but with a 2 on the end etc. Each call lasted less than a minute in the middle of the night. I believe there is a lot more to these numbers that meets the eye, and there's a malicious intent behind them being made. Telstra did their very best at pretending that it wasn't happening. I'm getting billed for phoning this number and I don't have a phone. Iinet refuse to credit me back, and I'm going to switch providers.

Telstra has billed me for phoning this number. Very odd as I don't have a phone and nor do I have any reason to phone this number.
