Scamming number used in a scam letter claiming to be from AGL. 'Mehta' who wrote the 'review' (saying this was legitimate) is obviously one of the scammers!
Its not a scam if you ring the number listed on the net it all marries up. They can send you a cheque without giving them your bank account details.
I received a letter from AGL claiming they had a refund for me from an old account, of $8998.00. The contact number to 'discuss my payment options' was 1300 889 347. I looked AGL up online and called their official number and discovered the letter is a scam.
1300889347 was a number used on an AGL invoice stating that I was owed $127.90 from an address that I lived at 8 years ago. They asked for verification of my details to receive the credit. Very dubious that after 8 years AGL would do such a thing particularly has I haven't used AGL for years. Is this phone number ok or no ?
