What Our Users Reviewed
Still going in 2024. Originating phone number of the SMS was in Indonesia.
Had a missed call on my phone from ME Bank, however, the voicemail asked me to call 1300 664 218 which IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE BANK!! There are so many scams going around that I always Google unknown numbers before I respond. I also don't have an ME Bank account so knew that something wasn't right!
I received an email asking me to call this number claiming to be ME Bank. The automated answering service seemed fairly legit however I reached an operator almost immediately. Luckily I didn't know my account number to give them. I did however give out other personal details. They claimed I owed money from 4 years ago, I became suspicious as I knew this was impossible. I told them I believed it was a hoax and hung up. I googled ME phone number (completely different). The automated answering service was also completely different (now with at least a 20 minute wait). Don't fall for scam (very unprofessional) emails asking you to phone this number, as I did.
