I received a text message from NAB stating that a one-time password for an online purchase of $850 was issued. If I did not make this request, I was instructed to contact them at 1300 441 648 for verification. This is a scam, and I have reported it to NAB.
This seems to be a continuation of a scam involving a claim of an $850 purchase, using the passcode 997076 to try and trick people.
I received a message that claimed "We have detected a login into your NAB CONNECT account in Perth. If you did NOT request this, please contact us at 1300 441 648 for verification." Unfortunately, I called the number back and ended up giving personal details. The call was cleverly disguised with a NAB welcome message. It was suspicious due to the lack of a queue, indicating something wasn’t right.
I received a similar call stating the same reason, which makes me think it was a scam. The details and the call were identical to another report I saw.
I received a text message from NAB containing a code xxxx, indicating an online purchase of $850. It instructed me to contact the number provided if I did not authorize this transaction.
