I had a voice message from this number. I have insurance with AAMI and someone ran into my car a couple of months ago and didn’t leave a note so I was thinking it was something to do with that. So I called the number back and have them claim number they left in the message, then they tried to ask for all my details, but it was so noisy in the back and all I could hear was other people talking and not even the lady talking, then It twigged that this is very suss and then I said sorry I can’t hear you and hung up. This must be a big scam.
I had a call from an unknown number, which I ignored. They left a voice message claiming they were from AAMI insurance and quoted a reference number. The woman speaking had a strong Indian accent and was speaking so quickly I could barely understand what she was saying. She told me to call 1300 041 890 within business hours but when I googled the number I found this page warning me it was a scam. Thanks for helping me to stay alert, this muber is clearly still active in 2025.
This number is a SCAM!!! If they call you don’t believe anything that they say to you. They are claiming that they are a well known company and asking for money making it really believable!! DOn't TRUST THEM AND REPORT THEM TO WHICHEVER COMPANY!! They should get in so much trouble for this shit!! Disgusting behaviour! Fraudulent scammers.
Called the number back and person refused to identify themselves or the company. Told him I would hang up if he didn't identify himself or company he wouldn't so refused.
I initially received a phone call from (07) 3732 2200 who gave up after I let it ring for 5 seconds. They left me a message saying they were "Suncorp" followed by an incomprehensible name of a company. They quickly recited a reference no. However, I do not have insurance with anybody. They then asked me to call them back on 1300 041 890.1300 041 890 first shows AAMI to be the top answer on Google but it is not actually an AAMI number. This is a scam number. If you actually have business with these Suncorp or AAMI you should follow up via the email provided on their website.
Had some mail arrive regarding a claim that I thought was resolved (Had issues with the 3rd party paying and the mail was an update). This number was listed but I cannot find it on their website. Called 13 22 44 and spoke to Claims Department. They confirmed that the mail was legit.
Assuming the number is part of their Recoveries and Settlements Department which is where the mail came from.
I have a call from one guys who said he is from AAMI recovery team asking for my personal information. I said I don't have AAMI any policy and asked why are you calling me. He said he can't give out any details because of confidentiality. I then ask for his name which he said Sujith and 1300 041 890. SCAM I think.
I got a call from (07)34702800 claiming to be from AAMI. I don't have an AAMI policy. The call went to voice mail. They asked me to call back on 1300 041 890. The caller said his name was "Rajit". Interestingly, searching the number in Google, does bring up AAMI results, but looking at those AAMI webpages, they don't show this number at all (maybe it was an older AAMI number?).
In any event, DO NOT TRUST.
I got a call from this number and they left a message saying that I needed to call back regarding an infringement #04196686. They left this 1300 041 890 number for me to call back but the call came from (07) 3470 2800 Ipswich Queensland. The caller that left a message sounded from a non-english speaking country.
