After verifying the number on their official website, I called and was transferred to the remediation team regarding a claim from over 12 years ago. They are processing a sizeable payout along with interest for me.

I have received two calls and one email from this number. I contacted AAMI using the number listed on their official website, and they informed me that I am not entitled to a refund. I am quite upset because they have my name, email, phone number, policy details, and home address. I informed AAMI that I plan to cancel all my policies and demand a refund, as I intend to take my business elsewhere.

My friend works for the Suncorp Group and this is their phone number for their insurance remediation line. They are legitimate and do call to help refund those affected by an error from their insurance policies.

I received an email claiming to be from OSS at AAMI, but I suspect that it is part of an elaborate scam scheme. I caution others, as people named Sarah and David have commented that this is legitimate, but they might be part of the scamming group.

Similar to David's report, I used to work for Suncorp and am well aware of how cautious they are with scams. I confirmed with the main office that the call and email I received were legitimate. The caller ID showed AAI, which is the parent company for all Suncorp Insurance companies in Australia and New Zealand. I even called the main Suncorp switchboard to verify the information.
