I received a call today and the man was extremely aggressive. He was telling me to go back to my own country and I was a rude bitch. All because he stated he was from the TAX office and I said I’ll call the tax office back on their number so I had confirmation. He went insane. This must be a scam surely. He left a voicemail on my phone saying if I didn’t call back I would be arrested.

Recorded message (paraphrased) "This is the Australian Taxation Office. The reason for this call is that a lawsuit has been opened up against you. If you do not call back to this number an arrest warrant will be issued in your name.".
This number was used by a scam organisation to contact us and warn us that we would be receiving a huge fine from the taxation department if we didn't ring them back. I rang them back and told them that they were a scam and they immediately hung up.
