At 10.00pm every week this number appears on my caller id, no message left on answering, if I pick up the line beeps then go dead. Trided to ring number back with no result.
Make with an Indian accent called from 08 94500321 just before 8pm tonight and kept asking me to identify myself. I asked who's calling and he said "go to hell" and hung up. These night callers from various 08 numbers are annoyingly common. Recently I told a rude female with an Indian accent to please stop calling and she said, "What are you going to do bitch.".
Received a call from this number. They claimed to be from Telstra. Lady had an accent. Said there was a problem with my Internet connection. When I said my son works at Telstra IT, not sure what area, she hung up. Seems to be a scam.
I also got a call from this number claiming to be from Telstra, with the 'usual' story about my computer generating errors and they needed to look into it. I told them it was rubbish and hung up.
Answered a call from the above number. When they ring, there is a delay then background sounds and a guy with an Indian accent. They claim that your computer modem is generating error messages so that you will download some software from them that gives them access to your computer. I rang Telstra and they confirmed that it is a scam and they blocked all incoming calls from India, Pakistan and Nigeria from whence these calls originate.
