McNair is a registered Australian business (ABN lookup and ASIC are the websites you can search for registered Australian businesses and companies). It appears many of their surveys are health related and McNair website states they are able to contact private numbers and numbers on the 'do not call' list and for most surveys the government requires them to attempt to contact a number several times. (their website indicates they do surveys for government departments) I do not know for certain but it appears not a scam.... If they ask for bank or credit card details, that would indicate a scam.
