Analysis of User Reports

User feedback highlights varied interactions with this number, leaning more towards suspicion. Key observations include:

  • A user reported an abrupt hang-up, which is often a tactic used by scam callers to gauge if the line is active without engaging in conversation.
  • Another report mentioned a voicemail claiming an issue with a bank account and a compromised tax file number. Such tactics are typical of phishing scams aimed at eliciting personal or financial information.
  • A third review suggested that the caller, identifying himself as "Peter" from Optus, sought to speak about a company's phone systems but refused to provide further information, which raises additional red flags regarding legitimacy.

What Our Users Reviewed

Called me in May, July and twice in September 2021. Never left any message. According to others, this may be from Optus telemarketing.

G

Caller with an Indian accent, said his name was Peter and he was calling from Optus. He wanted to speak to the person in charge of my company's phone systems. Wouldn't leave a message with me and said he would call back later. Either a scam or telemarketing, but not a caller I want to hear back from either way.

H

This number left a voice mail message on my mobile stating there was an issue with my bank account and that my tax file number had been compromised. Didn't listen to whole message but assume it's a scam as there is nothing wrong with any of those things. Has tried calling me before. I just ignore.

They called and hang up quick, when call back answering machine tells you to leave a message or press star to speak to an operator. Possible scam.
