    I despise all telemarketers with a passion. If I want a product or information regarding a product, I will source that information myself. I do not need pushy, rude people ringing me. It's rude and completely unnecessary.

    According to other complainants on multiple sites this is the Arthritis Foundation.

    Well well... I don't care what foundation they're calling on behalf of and I'll make no bones about it- any charity utilising such a bone idle method of soliciting support will be on a blacklist for me.

    So yay, now I have a bone to pick with the Arthritis Foundation! They've been added to the growing list that have caused a dull ache in my joints on the regular.

    More charities are outsourcing by using call centres that pay staff very low base hourly rates (at best) and the rest in commissions. They use auto-diallers to get as many "hits" as possible because to them it's a simple numbers game. I think charities need to stop employing these bone-headed methods because it makes them appear no different to any other telemarketer desperately trying to sell something to the masses by annoying them over the phone.

    Grow a back bone and differentiate yourselves! Get creative!

    Gah...been clenching my fists so much that now I need a top-up of nurofen and emu oil, thanks guys.

    This number has started to call me frequently. I don't answer & they refuse to leave a message. It's either not that important or it is indeed a scammer as others have mentioned...

    These numbers call me daily or multiple times a day. Very annoying, each one trying to sell me a product.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
