    SCAMMERS. They offer 30% discount on utility bills. They first ask you to send them the BPay details of any of your bills. They will pay it in full and then they will ask you to put 70% of the amount in their account. That way, you will get a 30% discount. As soon as your money is in their account, they will reverse the BPay bill they paid. You will be left with 100% of your bill that you still need to pay to the utility bill company AND you will loose 70% of the amount that you have paid these SCAMMERS.

    Please be careful when dealing with this SCUM on the face of the earth.

    Called me four times in a row.

    Could hardly understand the indian guy but he was saying he was offering 30% of electricity and when asked, said he was from bulk buy power. Never heard of them and sounds like a scam. I had to block the number in the end as he called me 4 times in 2 minutes.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
